Our Upper School Winter athletic season is well underway. Our teams have enjoyed some early season successes.
The Varsity Boys’ Basketball team is currently 8-0 overall and is in the hunt for a Colonial League and a District XI playoff spot. The team is sitting in first place in the East Division of the Colonial League. The team returned to action on Thursday 1/3 and defeated Palmerton at the buzzer by a score of 79-77. The team will face a tough matchup on Saturday 1/5 as we host defending Colonial League Champion, Bangor. The game will be televised on Service Electric TV2 Sports and is set to tip-off at 12:45 pm. Come and out and support our Varsity Boys’ team!
The Varsity Girls’ Basketball team has also experienced early season success as their overall record currently sits at 6-3. The team returned to action last night and defeated Palmerton at home by an impressive 68-51 score. The girls needed a strong 4th quarter to pull away from a good Palmerton team. They also return to action on Saturday 1/5 as the team travels to face Bangor in a Colonial League contest.
The Varsity Swim team has benefited from some quality individual and team performances. Both the boys’ and the girls’ teams have enjoyed a successful start to their season. The girls’ and boys’ team records are currently 4-0. The first meet of the New Year will take place on Tuesday 1/8 as the teams travel to Nazareth. The swim team will host their Senior Meet on Saturday 1/26/19 at 10 am as the team welcomes Quakertown High School.
Good luck to all of the student-athletes and coaches for the rest of the season!
