At Moravian, we use a collaborative learning paradigm, which means we believe face to face learning is hard to replicate outside of the classroom, so please make every effort to attend class when school is in session.
If your child misses a day of school, we recommend they take that time, and when they are back, the teacher and child have a conversation to guide catching up that short absence.
If your child is away for two or more days, due to illness or unexcused holiday, teachers may supply some work, but please do not expect day to day, class by class homework assignments to be sent home. It is better that the child be present during family time, and return to school ready to make up appropriate work after conferencing with the teacher.
We look forward to seeing smiling, engaged learners in our classrooms.
