Kindergarten traveled to the community garden and collaborated with the ninth-graders from Mrs. Burd’s class to learn about how our garden works and to harvest some fall vegetables.
We dug potatoes and carrots and picked beans, pumpkins, gourds, peppers, brussel sprouts and leafy greens. We brought them back to the classroom and scrubbed them clean! Kindergarteners are enjoying them for snack…….roasted potatoes are a hit! especially the purple ones.
