Third grade recently visited the Peace Valley Nature Center, located in Doylestown, PA.
After choosing their new Native American names, such as “jumping kangaroo” or “sparkling unicorn”, they participated in a variety of activities as the Native Americans would in their daily life.
They used a mortar and a pestle to crush corn, a fire starter, and a hand-drill. The students also played many fun games like the Native American children. The day ended with a picnic lunch.
