Congratulations to fourth and fifth-grade students who earned spots in the Ten-Mile Club this spring! Over the course of 11 class periods, students were given 15 minutes to run five laps around God’s Acre or wore pedometers to run a total of 2,000 steps on the inside track. Both options were equivalent to approximately one mile.
Participation was driven by student choice and encouraged, as they take great pride in their achievement and look forward to earning the flying foot pin to show off on their blazers! A byproduct of their running and dedication is the prevention of cardiovascular disease, building strong bones and muscles and social opportunities and teamwork.
Fifty-three students recently joined the Ten-Mile Club. Great work!
