Grade 1: “Light One Candle,” “Listen, Shepherds, Listen” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing”
Grade 2: “Come Thou Long Expected Jesus,” “Born for Us That Christmas Night” and “Silent Night”
Grade 3: “Peace Peace,” “Born For Us That Christmas Night,” and “Away in a Manger”
Grades 4 & 5: “A la Media Noche” (A Traditional Puerto Rican Carol), “Joy in Judea,” “O Little Town of Bethlehem” and “Hosanna”
Our Lower School Strings then performed a Ukranian Carol entitled “Carol of the Bells,” followed by a performance by fifth-grade soloists Alanna Henderson, Daniyal Jali, Sophie Wandall, and Emma Grandin of the traditional “Morning Star, O Cheering Sight.”
The service concluded with everyone, attendees included, singing “Angels We Have Heard on High” and a benediction by Rev. Jennifer Nichols.
Thank you, students and parents, for taking part in such beautiful Vespers services this year. It was great to have so many of you in the chapel with us and to know others were able to join from the comfort of their own homes. A special thank you to Mr. Ben Wallace, Mrs. Lou Carol Fix, Mrs. Christine Wetzel, Ms. Chase Morrison, Mr. Nathan Diehl, Mr. Rob Riker, and Mr. Richard Fanning for the incredible job they did preparing our youngest students for this service.
