On October 4th and 5th, the third-grade students were off to Greenkill, located in Huguenot, NY for an overnight field trip. Upon arrival, the students unloaded their gear, headed to their very comfortable accommodations, met their naturalists, and prepared for their first activity.
The students participated in rock climbing and canoeing; investigated aquatic ecology, forest ecology, and wildlife; and learned very important survival skills. In the evening, they enjoyed singing at a campfire before heading to bed. If you ask a third grader, they’ll tell you how delicious the food was too!
Camaraderie and friendship was the focus, all while having a tremendous amount of fun!
