The Mid Atlantic Region Diversity Conference (MARD) is a student-led annual conference designed for Upper School students across the Mid Atlantic region. The conference, which will be held on Saturday, October 26th, explores issues of diversity and identity, such as gender, race, socio-economic status, religion, and more. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and learn more about yourself. Read reflections from students who attended last year.
For those of you who remember Rodney Glasgow, who spoke at our school a couple of years ago, he will be the keynote speaker at the conference. The conference will be hosted at Abington Friends School, located in Jenkintown, PA closer to Philadelphia.
For those interested in attending, this field trip form is due by Thursday, October 10th. The first 20 people to turn in their forms will receive a $25 discount, otherwise, the cost is $50 to attend. Full scholarships are available. Those attending should arrive at the Merle-Smith Campus by 7:00 am and we’ll return to campus by 6:00 pm.
